This is a 0.999 fine silver replica of the gold 1915S 50 dollars issued for the Panama-Pacific exposition in 1915. It weighs 5 troy ounces, is approximately 61mm across, and is based on the original design by Robert Ingersoll Aitken.
The edge is reeded, apart from one panel containing the weight and fineness, and another left blank, (Perhaps for a serial number)
Believed to be a privately produced bullion medallion, possibly late 20th century, it is nevertheless rare. As struck and pictured.
