William Warboys was born in 1874 at North Mimms, Hertfordshire and enlisted in 1893. He served with the 2nd Battalion, West Yorkshire Regiment, from October 1899 and his entry for the Queen's South Africa medal also confirms 'To England 29 June 1900'.
