Most maundy sets that I see from this period have been assembled from different sources and are rarely a good match for each other. This set has matching toning throughout, as usual more pronounced on the smaller coins.
The fourpence displays a little striking weakness to the reverse otherwise this set is attractively toned and crisply struck, particularly the smaller coins.
