Arthur T. Bonham, from Wendover, Buckinghamshire, attested for the 1st/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry and served with them during the Great War on the Western Front from 30 March 1915. Later transferring to the 1st/4th Battalion, He sustained a gunshot wound to the leg in June 1916 and he was killed in action on 27 August 1917; he has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
