Stephen Fagg served with 'A' Troop, Royal Horse Artillery in the Crimea with the service number 1780 serving during the Sebastopol campaign, and he is listed as invalided from the theatre. Fagg later appeared on the Indian Mutiny roll as entitled to a Medal without clasp; at the time he was serving in 'D' Troop. The Crimea roll notes that Fagg died in India, possibly having failed to recover properly from his illness in the Crimea.
