Robert Heath was born at Putney, London on 4 November 1894 and joined the Royal Navy as a Boy in September 1910, a telegraph messenger by trade. He was invalided from the service with tuberculosis on 10 February 1916.
A silver war badge was issued on 20th October 16, and he died on 10th December 1916. Forces war records reports that he died in active service.
Robert contracted tuberculosis while serving onboard HMS Dryad. Treated and died at Brompton Hospital, Chelsea.
His gravestone in Putney reads.
