British war medal & victory medal, correctly impressed to 920049 BMBR. W.G.E. DUKES. R.A.
William George Edward Dukes was born in 1895 and was a resident of Watford. He attested for the 4th (Home counties ) Howitzer brigade. R.F.A. (Territorial force) in November 1915. The brigade joined the B.E.F in France in December 1917, and he was discharged in November 1919.
Complete with box, packets and envelope of posting, and short lengths of original ribbon. Also 14 pages of photocopied research showing service history, family details, etc. The medals are EF.
